Materials
We can custom-make to any specifications, but our normal design uses a full eight yards (for average sized kilts) of material. The kilts are fully cotton lined, pleated to line, with three high quality buckles and real leather straps, and a proper traditional kilting selvedge.
We use only top quality pure wool tartans, from weavers like Lochcarron of Scotland, House of Edgar, and Strathmore (although any suitable material can be used on request), and we can supply any tartan required.
Most customers choose medium weight fabric, but heavier tartans are popular too, while some customers in hotter climates prefer a lighter material.
